GATHERING

Welcome

Prelude Variation on Nun Dunket All  | arr. Corl

Call to Worship

Votum

Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

Amen

Opening Sentences

The Lord be with you.

And also with you!

Where two or three are gathered together,

God is in their midst.

We gather to proclaim the promises, to retell the stories,

to remember who we are as people of God.

Let us worship!

Salutation

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ

Amen.

*Hymn of Praise: Sing Alleluia to the Lord

Call to Confession

Let us lay aside the works of evil

and put on the armor of goodness.

Let us live honorably, putting on the Lord Jesus Christ,

to whom we confess now.

Prayer of Confession

      Beautiful Savior,

you have made your law clear:

Love. Love one another.

Owe one another nothing but love.

Do no wrong to a neighbor.

But we have not mastered what it is to love.

We have fallen short,

causing harm to others

through careless action

and thoughtless lack of action.

Forgive us.

Teach us how to love more fully,

more perfectly,

as generously as you love,

following your law and fulfilling your will.

Silent Confession

Assurance of Pardon

Christ does not judge us harshly,

but forgives all our sin

and leads us into new life.

We will not take this forgiveness for granted,

but will let it transform how we live and love.

 The Law of God:

*Gloria Patri | #579

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Amen.

*Commitment to Peace Keeping and Peace Seeking

One: May the peace of Christ be with you!

All: And also with you!

Share a sign of peace with one another. After sharing the peace, let us all sing together:

Together, by grace, we witness and work, remembering Jesus, in whom we grow strong. Together we serve in Spirit and truth, remembering love is the strength of our song.

Silent Reflection

THE RESPONSE TO GOD

*Affirmation of Faith

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.  I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.  He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried;  He descended to hell.  The third day he rose again from the dead.  He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.  From there He will come to judge the living and the dead.  I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.  Amen.

Offering Pie Jesu  | Webber

Doxology

    Praise God from whom all blessings flow;

Praise him all creatures here below;

Praise him above ye heavenly hosts;

Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

Amen!

Prayer of Dedication

Prayers of Thanksgiving and Intercession (ending with Lord’s Prayer)

In Jesus’ Name, we pray as you taught us…

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory forever. Amen.
