Prelude The Way of the Cross |arr. Sikes
Call to Worship
Votum
Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
Amen
Opening Sentences
The Lord be with you.
And also with you!
We gather to worship God in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
who breathes into us inspirations of justice and peace.
who binds us together with love and grace.
We gather to hear the stories of Jesus, the risen son of God,
who shows us the way of God
and calls us to be his disciples.
Salutation
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ
Amen.
*Hymn of Praise Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise
Call to Confession
When we call upon our God with open hearts and repentant minds,
God will hear us and bless us. Let us now confess our need for God’s grace.
Prayer of Confession
Savior, you lead us to the mountaintop and show us the glory of your Spirit. You teach us lovingkindness and guide us to live just lives. You bless us with riches of spirit, and ask us to share in your goodness. We are humbled and grateful.
Yet there are times when we are blind to your glory. We live only for ourselves. We hoard what we think we have earned. When we are unaware and wander, forgive us. When we are selfish and ungrateful, forgive us. Forgive us and lead us back to the heights of your grace and glory.
Assurance of Pardon
God, our God, will hear the cries of our hearts, will grant us the mercy of forgiveness, and will lead us in paths of grace and peace.
Thanks be to God! We are forgiven.
The Law of God: Isaiah 56: 1
Thus says the Lord:
“Maintain justice, and do what is right, for soon my salvation will
come, and my deliverance will be revealed.”
*Gloria Patri | #579
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Amen.
*Commitment to Peace Keeping and Peace Seeking
One: May the peace of Christ be with you!
All: And also with you!
Share a sign of peace with one another. After sharing the peace, let us all sing together:
Together, by grace, we witness and work, remembering Jesus, in whom we grow strong. Together we serve in Spirit and truth, remembering love is the strength of our song.
THE WORD OF GOD
Anthem Go Up to the Mountain of God | Helman
Prayer for Illumination
Holy One, we open our ears to hear in new ways. We open our minds to consider new ideas. We open our hearts to believe with renewed faith. Amen
Listen for the Word of God,
shaking the wilderness.
First Reading: Psalm 84: 1-4, 10-12 as a responsive reading
One: How lovely is your dwelling place,
O Lord of hosts!
All: My soul longs, indeed it faints,
for the courts of the Lord;
my heart and my flesh sing for joy
to the living God.
One: Even the sparrow finds a home
and the swallow a nest for herself,
where she may lay her young,
at your altars, O Lord of hosts,
my King and my God.
All: Happy are those who live in your house,
ever singing your praise.
One: For a day in your courts is better
than a thousand elsewhere.
All: I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than live in the tents of wickedness.
One: For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
he bestows favor and honor.
No good thing does the Lord withhold
from those who walk uprightly.
All: O Lord of hosts,
happy is everyone who trusts in you.
This is the Word of the Lord
Thanks be to God
*Hymn: Christ, We Climb with You the Mountain
This morning, we will read and reflect on our

THE RESPONSE TO GOD
*Affirmation of Faith (Apostles’ Creed)
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; He descended to hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty. From there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
Offering Shine Jesus Shine |Schackley

All: And also with you.
One: Lift up your hearts.
All: We lift them up to the Lord.
One: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
All: It is right to give our thanks and praise.
One: Holy and right it is and our joyful duty to give thanks to you at all times and in all places, O Lord our Creator, almighty and everlasting God... With your whole Church on earth and with all the company of heaven we worship and adore your glorious name.
*Sanctus Holy, Holy, Holy Lord #581
Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of
your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is He who comes in the name of
the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!
Remembering the Work of Christ
One: Holy One, in this hour we remember the many ways you have fed us. As the wanderers in the wilderness, we depend upon your daily manna. As the followers by the sea, we feast on your miracles. As the disciples in at the last supper together, we celebrate your sacrifice of love. Together we proclaim the mystery of faith:
Memorial Acclamation
All: Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again.
Invocation of the Spirit
One: Holy Spirit, breathe on us the gift of life. Fill us with your goodness. Make us one in this sacrament of love and grace.
All: Amen
Holy Communion
Words of Institution
One: The body of Christ is broken for you.
One: The blood of Christ is shed for you.
Intinction (many into one)
Prayer of Dedication
One: Loving God, we thank you that you have fed us in this sacrament, united us with Christ, and given us a foretaste of the heavenly banquet in your eternal kingdom.
Be with all who are in grief and with all who need healing. Bring us through the trials ahead, and wrap us in the comfort of your love.
Prayer of Thanksgiving and Intercession (ending with the Lord’s Prayer)
Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory forever. Amen.

*Hymn Swiftly Pass the Clouds of Glory
Benediction
Congregational Response
Live into hope of captives freed,
Of sight regained, the end of greed.
Removing shades of pride and fear-
A vision of our God brought near.
Live into hope of liberty,
The right to speak the right to be,
The right to have one's daily bread,
To hear God's word and thus be fed.
